The Town of Kingston Springs requires permits for several types of construction activities, including but not limited to: decks, residential construction, commercial construction, accessory buildings (sheds, carports, etc.), installing a driveway, and grading. The town currently utilizes the 2018 version of the International Building Code.

Please note that a sprinkler system is required in all new commercial and residential development. Building and sign permits should conform with Kingston Springs' adopted Zoning Ordinance, Design Guidelines, Subdivision Regulations, and Sign Ordinance all of which can be found on the Planning & Zoning page of this website.

If you have a project you're considering and you have questions please use our Concept Review Form found at the links below.  Provide as much information about your project as you can and email the completed form to cityplanner@kingstonsprings-tn.gov.  Our Planning Department will review and provide comments and next steps for your project. 

To submit an Application please use the link below to access the Application Portal.  Applications are processed in the order received and will be reviewed as soon as possible.  Please note:  Please review ALL information related to each permit type.  All required project info and documents (ex. site plan, building plans, licensing, etc.) must be submitted with your application or the application will not be processed and may be denied. Please email citymanager@kingstonsprings-tn.gov with questions about submitting a permit.

Complaints can be submitted anonymously but please know that  complaints are subject to open records requests.  However staff does not volunteer complainant information.
